Keep First Responders & Victims in Your Prayers

The Secretary Volunteer Fire Company is asking our community to keep all of Dorchester County's first responders, as well as the victims and their families, in your thoughts and prayers following a difficult evening of emergency incidents.

After returning to the station from assisting at a working structure fire in Cambridge, our members were immediately dispatched to a serious two-vehicle motor vehicle collision involving a patient trapped inside a vehicle that had caught fire.

Incidents like these are a sobering reminder of the challenges first responders face every day. Firefighters, EMS personnel, law enforcement officers, emergency communications dispatchers, tow operators, and countless others worked together under difficult circumstances to provide the best possible care and support.

While emergencies often end when the lights and sirens are turned off, the emotional impact can remain long after the scene has been cleared. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and everyone affected by this tragic incident.

We also extend our sincere gratitude to every emergency responder who answered the call and worked tirelessly throughout the evening. Your professionalism, dedication, and commitment to serving others do not go unnoticed.

Secretary Volunteer Fire Company asks our community to continue keeping everyone involved in your prayers during this difficult time.

To all first responders across Dorchester County—thank you for your unwavering service and sacrifice. Please stay safe, watch out for one another, and know that your community stands behind you. 🚒💙
