Dryer Fire Dangers

🔥 DRYER FIRES ARE REAL — AND THEY START FASTER THAN YOU THINK

Lint is extremely combustible. When it builds up in the lint trap, exhaust duct, or inside the dryer cabinet, it blocks airflow and traps heat — and that’s all it takes for a fire to start.

Overheating + lint = ignition.
This is why fire services urge everyone to clean the lint trap after every load.

But lint isn’t the only danger. Dryer fires also start from:
• Electrical faults
• Blocked or damaged vent hoses
• Overloaded machines
• Dust and debris behind or under the dryer
• Hidden lint inside the machine — not just the filter

Even with a clean lint trap, a poorly maintained dryer can still ignite.

🧯 Dryer Fire Safety Tips:
✔ Clean lint trap every load
✔ Check and clear the vent hose
✔ Remove dust behind and under the dryer
✔ Don’t overload
✔ Don’t run the dryer when sleeping or away
✔ Report burning smells or heat spikes
✔ Service the dryer yearly

Small habits prevent big fires. Stay safe. 🔥🏠🧯
