At approximately 9:39 p.m. on Tuesday, November 4th, neighboring fire departments were dispatched for Box Alarm 26-4 in the 2600 block of Cokesbury Road for a reported chicken house fire.

Upon arrival, the first units on scene requested a tanker task force, followed shortly thereafter by a second alarm assignment to assist with water supply and manpower.

The Secretary Volunteer Fire Company responded with Engine Tanker 16-1 and Brush 16-1 to assist the Eldorado-Brookview Volunteer Fire Company.

Crews operated on scene alongside multiple mutual aid departments to bring the incident under control.

It was later confirmed that the structure was unoccupied, and no chickens were housed inside at the time of the fire.
